Zhailjau Golf Club
Opened in 2006, this Arnold Palmer design is perfectly located just outside the city centre of Almaty. The golf course sits beautifully in the rolling foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range and offers picturesque views from each hole.
The course design includes generous fairways, large undulating greens and a number of water hazards that come in to play. Built to exact USGA specifications and offering excellent putting surfaces, the course has hosted the Kazakhstan Open for many years which was the most prestigious tournament on the European Challenge Tour.
Nurtau Golf Club
The first golf course to be founded in Kazakhstan opened in 1995 and is located just west of Almaty city centre.
This mature course offers a perfect contrast to Zhailjau with narrow tree-lined fairways and small raised greens. The golf course also successfully hosted the Kazakhstan Open over many years.
With a newly built clubhouse and two tiered driving range, the golf club offers a great golfing destination that will challenge both amateurs and professionals.
